Blessings!!

The gospel seems to good to be true.  Our deepest awareness of ourselves should be to know that we are deeply loved by God and have done nothing to earn or deserve it.  Jesus is not imprisoned in the ivory towers of exegesis nor looking for us to swear an unyielding allegiance to a rigid position of thought that does not see the Word made flesh dwelling among us. The true mountain top experiences are to be lived out in the brokenness of real people in furious, passionate, practical love.  The good news is just that, good news.  Once the revelation of the Fathers love overwhelms our souls, it is too good to be true.  We need to drink it in deeply, until it satiates our hearts, souls and minds.  It becomes the overriding reality that destroys the remaining ingrained legalism that keeps us from thinking big about a loving God.  Anything left of Jonahs inablility to grasp the all embracing love for Nineveh is exposed and the choice to love as God loves is offered daily to all mankind.  We become confident and free disciples from the inside out, rooted and grounded in His love for us, we then begin to launch out into the depths, heights and length of the love of Christ.  We are to comprehend, we are to know the love of Christ that passeth knowledge and end up filled with the fulness of God. This is the bible, is it not?

The oil spill of the Holy Spirit is erupting from the one who descended into the lowest parts of the earth to bringest to the heights of intimacy with God and fill the waters of the nations with that oil.  I am learning that to honor God is to live gladly because of His love and that is in the midst of all that is happening around us and there is a delight that is not removed from the realities of earth but exists in them.  Did Jesus really mean abundant life and that more abundantly?  Do I have to die to get it, or did we die in Him to begin the experiencing it  now?  Like I said, ingrained legalism, any area that I have had a relationship with the rules instead of union with a living, life giving spirit begins to squirm when faced with a God who loves us with a "furious love" as one writer remarked.  Another day to live in wonder as we glimpse His face and see His glory as Moses did, all His goodness yearning to pass by.  A life was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and it begins at conversion.  That needs to be proclaimed, understood and lived before anything else.  From that position we live and that position we maintain and all true religion flows from that.  There is no pressure, no fear, no expectations that others can put on us, or us on ourselves that should be permitted.  We are children, revelation was revealed to babes Jesus said, a little child became the example of the inheritors of the kingdom.  I am in love with Jesus Christ and even better, He is in love with me.  Life is more gratitude and awe at a God who is that kind, that beautiful.  The only people who would have a problem with me talking this way are the ones that Jesus had difficulties with and the elder brother has lived in all of us.  We celebrate what He did and instead of cursing the darkness, it is better to light a candle, even a small one, we are lights, not news reporters of the enveloping darkness who carry a book of wet matches.  Aagh, some morning thoughts.  I am blessed to be alive and thankful for sure.  I have a great wife, family and some tremendous people who read these updates and have become part of our lives and ministry.  I am honored by the love and support from you, it is amazing for sure and my response is to live more, give more, love more and release our lives to others with all our heart.

Water Walking Prayer

Over 30 years ago Jana and I prayed a prayer.  It went something like this.  "Lord, if you need a couple to send anywhere in the world, to do anything for you at anytime, to anyone, whenever you want, we are willing to be that couple.  So you have the freedom to use us anyway you want for any particular reason, no matter what the cost, no matter how disrupting it would be, we are yours. We are willing and we will believe you for all of it".  Well, I guess God took us up on that prayer.

To understand us is to realize that to live like this is part of who we are and explains why we seem to be in many places, make many moves at times and however it looks.  You do not have to live like this, we prayed the prayer.  Water walking is part of the way it works.  One word from Jesus to Peter, "come", and out of the boat he went.  There is no record of the reaction of the disciples.  Peter walked on a word spoken to him by Jesus.  Was it really Jesus?  That is what all of us learn on our own isn't it?  Just how clearly can God speak to each of us about His heart and plans for our life?  I have hungered since the first few weeks of my conversion 36 years ago to be be led by His own eye taught in the way He has for me.  I entered into a life of risk, believing God can do just that, this invisible God making His thoughts known to me.  The gaze of those in comfort zones of safe principles without including the voice that tells an Abraham to kill his son when no one was around to confirm it either(Abe called it worship by the way, first time the word worship was used in the bible)has been felt by all water walkers. Do we make mistakes in hearing, do we have moments of questioning what we hear?  Of course.  So you deeper into Him, part of the process.  Jesus stands in the midst of nothing by the way.

We have had such an incredible time in Central America and in the fall we will see even more of His love extended to Cuba, Nicaragua, Costa Rica as Jana and I will be able to spend more time in these nations.

We have been overjoyed at the time we have been able to spend in the Freeport and Destin area in Florida.  The relationships and fruit in the lives of some there and weekly we hear from those God touched and the obedience to do the school of supernatural ministry there resulted in wonderful blessing on our lives. We are not finished with that region but will flow from The Desire of All Nations into the region as God leads and He will, and expect great things as a result.

Summer Plans

God has spoken to us over the years about two regions of focused ministry, one in the South Pacific and the other in Central America. Now He is beginning to shift towards reestablishing ministry in the South Pacific while Central America has been opened and established with doors of influence now happening.

So this summer we will be spending time in Hawaii and French Polynesia and we just obey and He makes the way and grants the direction and the how to.  We just drove across the USA and will visit our son Jed and his wife in La Quinta,  California, then Jobyna and Alex and the family in Redding, then up to Seattle to see Janas family.  Then we will fly to Hawaii on July 16 for a month and while there see Dylan and Tracy as they have their first child, then off to Tahiti around mid August.  All 3 of these ladies are having babies, so our grandchild count will grow from 5 to 8 this year!!

We will be ministering in the desert today at a friends church and on July 9, a Friday, we will be at Gateway Worship Church, Pastors Randy and Linda Bach at 7 PM.  They are located at 7310 12th Ave E, Tacoma.  Phone numbers are 253-537-6619, 206-209-6176. While the focus is Janas mom who we continue to pray for, we hope to see as many of you as possible then and during the time in Seattle, about a week.

While maintaining our Florida home and address, we ask that you re-direct all mail to the Hawaii PO box that we have used for 15 years.  All mail is being forwarded there anyway but just so you know, especially those that support us by sending checks to Florida.  This is temporary of course as we will be back in Florida in September.

We will be working on some footage from our last trip to Central America, and we want you to see what you were a part of through your giving and prayer.  In my next update, we will share more about French Polynesia and refresh some of you who followed us during those years and introduce the rest of you to the South Pacific vision.

Part of my daily joy is your love and support, loyalty and belief in us, sacrifice and consistency of friendship and communication and just knowing you...our lives are enriched by your love for God and expressing it in who you are and what you do for Him and thoughtfulness towards our family.  Water walking.....yes, we take this trip trusting God to minister out of His bounty to make it happen.  For fun, all we had was a one way ticket for me, Jana and Ilima from Seattle to Hawaii.  We got in the car and headed out June 21, visited our school for last session and spent time with friends there in Freeport, ministered at Pastor Doyle and Jan Redwines Church in Defuniak Springs and drove across USA to Jeds house where we are now.  Every day is a water walking step.  Not only to cover this whole trip financially but to continue to give money weekly to Nicaragua and whatever else we do.  So thank you for your prayer and financial support.  You have eaten the fruit of what He has done in Central America and get ready for great meals of His kingdom expressed as we are in the islands of the South Pacific.  Thanks for standing with us at this time....earl and jana
